Roque’s Friday Films (10/26): Watch “My Life as a Pianist”

It is time for a new Friday film release! This week’s film is autobiographical and explains the awakening I experienced when I finally made a deeper connection to playing the piano. This was the beginning of my own personal healing and creative journey.

There are two of my original piano compositions featured in this film as well as lots of scenic cinematography. I filmed my piano where I play all the time. This is a special place where I am often alone with my thoughts. In this film, I open a window into my interior life.

I hope you enjoy getting a look into who I am as an artist.

    Roque’s Friday Films: MaxZine’s Garden

Roque’s Friday Films now starts its fall season after a much needed break in September. Today is the World Premiere of a film I have been working on since last Spring. It’s called MaxZine’s Garden and features the vibrant and joyful space where gardener MaxZine Weinstein diligently grows several flowering and edible plants.

Filming for this project began in April earlier this year in order to capture as many spring, summer, and fall plants as possible on camera. The music heard throughout the film was performed and recorded on my piano at home.

MaxZine’s garden thrives deep in the hills of middle Tennessee in a town called Liberty.
